Planning Palm Springs

I home from work now mentally preparing for the 'doctors' visit later tonight.  Fuck I'm nervous.

I posted sometime last week that I was really in the mood to head over to Palm Springs.  Well, now I've got the desert fever so bad I'm ready to plan for sometime in June.  I need some help from you though.  I have my usual hangouts but I want to try something different.  Here is what I need:

• Where should I/we stay if I'm looking to get completely naked and hook up with a hot guy or three?
• Where are some good places to do some wild naked dares?
• Are there any bars where you can get naked or be close to naked or do sexy dares?
• Where are some good places to eat if you only brought your boardshorts and tees?
• Where are some good places to shop?
• Where are some good places to just hang and watch hot guys?
• Where is a good place to workout?

eat: it's an informal place, just about anywhere. Falls Prime Steakhouse is nice. Native Foods is great (vegetarian). Triangles is okay (don't get the prime rib) but you'll need pants at least. Thai Smile is good and casual.
Shop: depends on what you want to buy. Just walk up/down Palm Canyon for touristy/gay, go to the The River for fun but more typical shopping, to The Gardens on El Paseo for higher end.
Workout: Golds if you want to work out, other places if you want to cruise.

I live there when I'm not in Italy. Any of the hotels in Warm Sands will fit the bill as far as getting naked. They run from pretty low end to high end. Look at the ads in any of the gay rags and you'll be able to figure it out.

Naked bars... the only one I can think of is the Tool Shed. But be careful. Lots of scary rape stories coming out of there lately. May all just be hype, but it can get rough. Oh, also... oh, hell, I forgot the name of the place... down Hyw 111 behind the Arco station a little ways into Cat City. Any regular should be able to tell you the name of the place with that description. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Sunday afternoon everybody's there for beer bust... get's hot after dark.

Casual dining... Red's and the Fish Market on Indian Canyon, just north of the municipal parking garage... great, inexpensive casual dining, but they ding you on premium call drinks. Beer's cold and cheap. Also, Look, between Hwy 111 and Indian Canyon on Andreas, in a cluster of old adobe buildings. Great patio and bar.

Naked dares? Anywhere. My bud and I use to drive all over the place naked. There's a very hot after hours all around Warm Sands. If you're naked, you won't be alone.

Jesus Christ in a hot pink dress! Palm Springs in mid-June? Has the San Francisco fog chilled your brain? Or maybe it's all the rain this winter/spring? Tahoe in mid-June seems like a much more sane choice to me.

Actually I'm going to Palm Springs June 7-10. I've got friends who live in Rancho Mirage (where there is a NO CLOTHING MANDATORY rule). I love PS in June! After living in Houston, TX with the heat and humidity. I'll take 115 degrees over 96 & 100% humidity! Have fun Jared!

Hey Jared, one of the best clothing optional gay resorts in PS is the All Worlds Resort, (www.allworldsresort.com), it's got everything you want, 3 pools, jacuzzis, sauna's and hot guys. It's owned by the people who own All Worlds Adult Videos, some of the hottest produced, and recently bought out by Chi Chi Larue, so you know some hotties go there. Shopping there is kewl stuff at the Westfield, Shoppingtown Mall, in Palm Dessert, and R and R Menswear in Palm Springs for hot menswear and lots of swimming speedos/outfits. For eating, go to "Blame it on Midnight", a gay owned and operated restaurant open for dinner at 5pm with live entertainment also some nights. Hope that helps. The Barracks! That's the place behind the Arco station. Name says it all, doesn't it? Take those two boys in Thursday's pix along, tie 'em to a post and watch the fun! Then make 'em get back to the hotel naked.

Since I live in PS, I would be the last to know about specific Inns--we don't HAVE motels here. All of them are clothing optional. But I can tell you that the temps in June will be fine. It will hit over 100 during the day but if you are near a pool and some shade (like under a boy or something) you will be fine. It is a dry heat. Nice. And the nights will be cool in the 70s. Usually 30 degrees cooler. But you will be naked! You must put on the sunscreen though. Very high UV as there is no moisture in air to block it. Naked bars; not likely. Maybe the scarier leather places. Most of the action is in and around the Warm Sands Inns. Many welcome 'visitors' from other Inns. As far as the Warm Sands area--street action-- is concerned, the later the sleazier and the more dangerous drug wise. The cops begin to come around in the wee hours because it is assumed that most of the action has to do with getting a fix not a fuck. There is no good shopping in PS compared to SFO. RandR mentioned above is expensive but good if you forgot to bring something like shorts or a speedo and you can get gay trinkets at little stores in the bar area. The workout gym would be Golds. There is a high visit fee though. There is also a Worlds gym out on Vista Chino which is more gay and cruisier. Maybe some naked opps there. Dress? PS is a resort. It is resort minded. You gotta wear shoes and a shirt (and pants) but at least until dark no one will look askance at boardshorts, T's and flips. And there are places you can go dressed down 24/7. You will see them. There are no bad places to eat. There are better ones but that means dressing up. Such is the world.

It promises to be well over the 100 mark while you are here. InnExile is way hot and Mirage is as well (locals can visit during day). Stay away from CCBC! Last time I was there, I thought they should give a new meaning to the B in CCBC, like call it the BEARS club. Not a waist line under 40 inches and all with way hairy guts and asses. Way too gross! Barracks is the name of the bar behind the Arco. Other gay shopping, don't miss Q-Trading Company. Kool little store. Dining, try Shame on the Moon. Reservations may be hard to come by. Gyms, eithe Golds up by the airport, or World on Vista Chino (lockers and showers said to be active!)! Even when it is hot here, it can be exceptionally cool! ENJOY your naked stay.
