Do you remember last week when I joked about needing an editor for CN.  Well . . . I got some offers and decided on one. 

Her . . . yes her . . . name is Sue and she has agreed to edit all my stories (the longer ones, not the daily updates or short ones).  She has also agreed to help me go back through ALL the posts over the next few months and clean them up for future readers.  We've decided to do the S&M categories first.  Here is the first one.  That was also my first experience with real S&M.  It was funny to me to read it.  I could just see myself all wide-eyed during that session.  That was also when I had my site over at blogger and when I barely had anybody visiting my site.  Notice that I didn't have any comments.  I still get 30 to 40 readers over there . . .

Hey.  I know you guys are waking up this morning wondering where the story of Thursday night is.  I did write it and it turned out to be 15 long Word pages.  I'm trying to narrow it down a bit before I publish.  I also didn't finish until late and wanted to let it sit for a while before I did a final review.  I could really use an editor in chief lol.

Home

I got up really really early this morning, went for a run and then worked out at my gym.  I did the hills this morning so my legs are screaming, "Jared what the fuck are you doing! 

I looked around at this beautiful city as I ran.  I really took it in this time and thought how lucky I am to be living here.  There are so many times I just get so busy and into my life that I forget where I live.

It is so normal to be gay here.  It is so normal to be different here.  No one even looks twice at you if you are different.  Different is the norm here.

This has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  There are landmarks and stunning views at every turn.  On my run this morning I passed houses built the the 1800's, I passed gay couples walking along the streets hand in hand,  I passed a guy in a kilt, I passed an electric bus, and I passed two guys smoking 420, both sporting mohawks. 

Even though I constantly complain about the weather and long for my hometown beaches, I would live no where else in the world right now.

California Dreaming

Nathan, Jeff and I watched American Idol tonight.  We love the auditions like everyone else in the country.  I love watching the boys laugh and laugh at the contestants.  Sometimes we roll around on the floor laughing.  This early on in the process, I didn't expect to cry.  It totally surprised me.  I feel so stupid about it now but there was this one part that really moved me.

RS was interviewing a sixteen year old guy before he went into his audition.  He was pretty cute; blond hair, blue eyes, pimples everywhere.  I was gettin the 'family' vibe.  He said his parents weren't there with him or supporting him because the audition processes he had been going to for years cost too much money.  He seemed really down about it as he looked around at all the other kids and their family members.  In the audition he sang 'California Dreaming' by the Mamas and the Papas, one of my favorite songs.  So, cute guy singing a song I love.  I'm already half way to tears.  Anyway judges all like him, put him through and the scene cuts to him outside calling his mom with tears in his eyes, half covering his face.  "I made it mom.  I made it."  I know my writing isn't doing the scene justice but, he looks at the camera and says, "she's proud of me, she's proud of me."

I swear I lost it.  He was excited about making it but that isn't what he really wanted.  He just wanted his mom to be proud of him.  That is all he wanted.

I related so much to what he was going through.  Fuck, I'm tearing up again. . .

Ok.  So it's Monday MLK and I had to work.  I didn't enjoy it.

Jeff update:  He isn't moving upstairs and we aren't making this place into one house.  I'm a little bummed about it.  At least for now we aren't doing any rennovations.  Jeff has decided to become a landlord and rent it out.  I think he may have over-extended himself buying it.  Yes he had a huge down-payment but still.  I am sooo glad I didn't take a sledge hammer to the wall.  Ok and there was the permit thing too.  Thanks for the heads up CF.

Jared update:  I'm doing something naughty Thursday night.  Let's just say it has something to do with a group of guys and um, nudity.  Ok that is all you get just in case one of the participants reads my blog.  I did put a hint in one of the areas of my blog two weeks ago and left it there for a week before taking it down.

Longing for Summer

OMG.  I miss the shirtless boys of summer.  I miss the beach.  I miss the rays of the sun.

I miss walking on the beach.  I miss soft ice cream melting all over my hands.

I miss gawking at the cute boys passing my way.  I miss the sand in my feet. 

I miss playing in the water. I miss standing there in amazement as I watch those guys windsurf.

Did I mention that I miss the boys of summer, the hard solid pecs, the washboard abs, the bleached out blond hair.

I miss blue.  I miss the heat.  I miss the sweat stinging my eyes. 

Most of all I miss those cute boys of summer.

A brief moment

I could tell he was frisky by the bulge in his underwear.  He was jumping around, teasing me, kissing me on the neck and slapping me on my ass.  I kept brushing him away.  I was busy.  That's what happens when you are in a relationship.  You get busy.  You can get it anytime.  You don't have to do it right then.  It can wait.

The house

I didn't realize a lot of readers don't know what San Francisco housing looks like.  San Francisco is littered with Victorian houses.  Many, many of the old Victorians like the one above were converted into flats in the 1940's and 50's to address the housing shortage and make it more affordable.  Two doors are placed on the outside where there is one.  The top floor is one flat and the bottom floor a second. 

Our place (or I should say mostly Jeff's place since Nathan and I only own 1/3 of 1/2 of it) looks very similar to this one.  It was built in the late 1890's and converted in the late 40's.  The flat itself consists of four rooms in a row:  Living room (originally the parlor), Nathan/Jared's bedroom (originally the living room), Jeff's bedroom (also a dining room if Jeff' didn't live there) and kitchen.  There is one long hallway to the right connecting all the rooms.  It is a little bigger than a condo but not much.  The rooms are quite large though and the kitchen is as big as all the other rooms.  We can get a huge farm table that seats six (eight if you squeeze).

Jeff is working out all the details, the tenants moved out yesterday and I bought a sledge hammer.  As soon as those papers are signed I intend to knock a hole though the walls dividing the entryways and either force him to at least do a minimum conversion back to one house or put a door there so we don't have to go outside to get up there.

At least now we will all have room to breath.  This flat was getting a little small for us.  Especially when we all have guests.
