I've read your blog before, but never commented, heh. Maybe you should go reading about Alzheimer's and getting doctor(s) opinion on it. Smoking weed should never be the top priority because other reducing risk factors are excerising and having intellectual stimulation like playing chess.

And also, believe in yourself. It's not 100% to get the disease. =)

Whatever, you're young (from the look of your tummy), Big Pharma will have cured it by the time you get there. We'll all live to be 130, have big dicks, no wrinkles and ... be broke.

Jared, you gotta go through friends to find a reputable pot dealer. It's just like finding a good doctor or mechanic -- you don't just open up the yellow pages and pick someone at random! Which is exactly what you're doing when you buy pot off the street.

You must have plenty of friends who smoke. Tell them that you're looking for a connection, and if they're happy with their dealer, ask if they'd introduce you.

If your friend (and the dealer!) agree, you'll probably have to buy from him a few times to establish yourself as a regular.

And there is a whole pot-buying etiquette too. (I still can't believe you bought it off the street!) It basically goes like this: You show up, shoot the shit with the guy for a bit, he'll offer to get you high (presumably with the stuff he's selling), and you buy some. Then you either leave, or shoot the shit some more, depending on the kind of guy the dealer is.

But that's only the general etiquette. I've bought from guys who are all business, get in-get out. But I don't like that. I much prefer the chill, shoot-the-shit dealers. But whatever the deal is, you need an introduction and you need to be sensitive to the dealer's particular routine.

There's always the rude, get in-get out customers, but the more the dealer likes you, the more he's apt to cut you slack on prices, let you know about the special shit he gets in, whatever.

And that's pot buying in a nutshell. Good luck!

Jared - You are not the only one torn by the pot smoking issue. I have been HIV+ for 22 years and fortunately have done well before and after the arrival of "the cocktail". I have smoked pot now for most of those years. It helps with the peculiar aches, joint pain, and mild depression that goes hand-in-hand with HIV. And I like the other side effects ;). However, I continue to have the debate on whether the pot is really good for me and my illness. I have no answer, and I make the choice to medicate myself and enjoy it, too.

Alzheimer's runs in my family, too, and I now add that to my rationale. But above and beyond all else, I refrain from feeling guilty for my medical indulgence. Life is too short to waste on guilt, a non-productive emotion.

That said, follow the advice of the earlier posting on buying and maintaining a supplier relationship. I got taken so many times buying on the street. I finally wised up, and spoke up when around other smokers. For the most part, the suppliers are cool people...and when you become a regular (and that includes buying more than small amounts), the quality improves. I have had some of the finest since I hooked up with a couple of suppliers.

And BTW, while I may sound like a pot-head, I work as a strategy consultant , surrounded by straight and often conservative colleagues.

Enjoy your choices...cheers!

My mother was in the early stages of dementia when she passed on. Intellectual stimulation certainly helps, like chess (as mentioned earlier) or reading books, and staying away from tainted meat to avoid CJ disease also is a benefit. Once CJ surfaces there is no cure (at least currently). Above all, count your blessings and keep a positive frame of mind. Then your immune system won't suffer. Be happy! That's my humble opinion anyway.

I'm a physician, and, like you, are at risk for dementia as both my parents have had it. I'd like to reduce my risk, but I am not as panicked about it. I noticed that there is a protective factor in Alzheimers. The person doesn't seem to be aware of what is happening to him/her. It's really family and friends that suffer emotionally.

I hadn't seen the articles about pot helpinf to prevent dementia. But, I'm glad to hear it. After MANY years not smoking pot, I started again a year ago. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Unless you're one of those who uses it destructively (e.g., interfering with work), I think it has an overall positive effect. I know I'm much more sociable and less judgmental. It keeps me mellow and is great for sex.

So, go for it, if it works for you.

Hey Jared
Do whatever you want with pot, but know that the best evidence about Alzheimer's (and related dementias) suggests that those who maximize their intellectual potential are diagnosed less often&/or later in life. Chess is fine, but also think outside the "smart" box: learn how to juggle or tap dance; start a bok club with folks you don't agree with about everything; learn another language; make some art, etc.
In any case, the stress hormones associated with worrying don't do anybody any good - so knock it off and go have sex with one or both of your hotties.
peace - Sean

hey jared,
just a word of caution, i work in mental health in the uk and have come across a lot of otherwise normal people of all ages who have all had psychotic episodes due to the use of dope, not even to excess. it may be of protective benefit, but there are a lot of articles in journals (some avail for free on line) listing the risks. Not everyone of course gets these problems, like any drug with side effects, it is a few. The problem is you never know when it is going to hit and even if it is 1/1000 to suffer, if you are that 1, risk ratios won't matter.

Just be aware of risks before you make a decision. They are getting nearer and nearer to finding a cure for Alzheimers and i know it can be a worry in families. My father passed away from a neuro problem similar but there are other things you can do to help yourself, have a look in journals etc first.
Chris

Hiya, j-boy. Quite a dilemma. I'm pretty much a risk averse guy, so my suggestion would be to explore other alternatives before returning to pot smoking. I'm not philosophically / morally opposed to it; I just wouldn't want to live (or have you live) with the potential consequences--selfishly, I enjoy reading your blog too much! :)

I'm always surprised when people say that they are against smoking pot. I'm a productive, contributing member of society and I smoke it several times a week. It's great for getting things done. I work in a creative profession and I know more people who smoke it than don't.

I'm no fan of drugs, nor am I well informed about approved medical studies that document the benefits of marijuana as a preventative for Alzheimers. My paternal grandmother died from it, although she did live to be 98. If there are reputable studies that show a real benefit from using pot, then I say to hell with the laws, take care of yourself. Otherwise, it might just be circumstantial or ancedotal evidence. Then you're better off staying clean and out of any potential trouble.

Note that there is a difference from benefits that help stave off the disease, and benefits that mitigate symptoms from those already suffering.

My father was institionalized with severe Alzheimer's and died from pancreatic cancer. I feel that I will probably get Alzheimers plus I have migraines. If I lived in CA, I would get my MD to write me an Rx for pot but I would not smoke it. I would use it to cook with. You can extract the THC into butter, or make brownies. Smoking is not good for you. I say, get an Rx if at all possible and don't smoke it; eat it! (Boy I miss the good ol' days.)

I saw my brother growing stupid upon smoking weed. I wouldn't recommend it if you can imagine a tendency of growing addictions to anything. Anyway, my grandmother had Alzheimer and no one else in may family had it before or afterwards. A genetic reason for getting it is not sure as far as I know. So why risking drug addiction for a reason you can't tell for sure?
I in fact am sure that the tendency to grow addictions is more strongly based in family lines than it is for alzheimer.
I would prefer to keep my mind agile continiously. The most alzheimer cases I got to know were people who didn't think too much.

I have heard about a medical test that can be done to see if you carry the genetic component necessary for the formation of Alzheimer's Disease. You may have already checked this out, but if not you might see about getting the test so you could have some peace of mind one way or the other. Plus, if you have a medical test to prove you have the gene, the medicinal marijuana folks might be more willing to help you. Just a thought.

It may protect you from Alzheimers but it causes other health issues like cancer and all the bad effects of smoking

Dont they legalise it for medicinal use in mexico? I saw that on Penn & Teller Bulshit... some kid had some problem and it was soon all cleared up after smoking a joint or two before school in the morning.

wait wait wait...they GAVE him the pot. I think. well whatever. I dont reckon it's that bad to be honest.

No, don't.
thats a weak excuse. you know Bilingual people are shown to not develop Alzheimer's. There you go, problem solved, learn another language. Then use the language.

And get real, you people are not physicians, or whatever you claim to be.
Its a disgusting act, and if you can't see that, then your disgusting, my brothers do it, and my sister and law does it, and all my cousins(my mom in the 70s too). And i hate them for it.
Take it for stress, then your a coward, take it for a disease, your looking for stupid easy ways to get around your problems.
Your a real credit to the human race, please act like an idiot, why do you do it? for fun? Idk how you people have dignity. I would be ashamed, I'm that way for my family.

Oh, maybe you should just do Meth, you get "fun" from that too, and you have the addictive excuse.

pot is not that bad and legalizing marijuana will actually solved a lot of problems such as crimes, gangs and it goes on and on.
Alcohol is legal and it does more damaged in general. As far as I'm concerned, everybody must be responsible, period and doing anything in moderation always help. Yes, I like smoking pot and I'm an ashamed of it ,I don't wake up in the morning and light up a joint or and I'm a social cigarette smoker, and yes me and my bf enjoys recreational drugs occasionally so sue me. I can understand why others may want not to do it but it sure doesn't define me as disgusting because when it comes to pot it is proven that it is and can be use for medicinal purposes, people that are too narrow minded and so up tight about everything are the ones making an issue out of nothing. Human beings can be addicted to pretty much anything, so what's important is to know your limits and be responsible. For me ridiculous people that are so self righteous are the problem, thinking they are always better that others because they have never lit up ,maybe they should and maybe they'll be a little happier and less up tight.
My advice is to follow your heart and be responsible but never repress yourself especially if doing something will help someone in the end. Again, Marijuana is not the problem it is the society thinking it's bad. Having a good connection helps too lol buying it on the street can suck and dangerous until of course pot will be legalize which in this country it will probably be never.
Good Luck :-)

What is CN?

Way back in August 2005 I started this blog and stopped writing several years later when life got too busy. I am leaving it up for future readers to find. I post pics almost every week though as I surf the net.

It isn't really about naked pics. It is about me exposing by deepest sexual secrets and leaving myself and my soul completely naked for the world to see.

Way back in the early 2000's I discovered a need to be vulnerable and naked in front of others, whether it be in public, among other naked guys, among clothed guys, or in front of authority.

Sometimes I like to be tied down, spanked, flogged and tortured. Sometimes I like to be physically examined and humiliated by someone of authority. I am a complete exhibitionist.

I also like to see others in the same situation where I am the one clothed or the one in authority.

I am not the greatest writer in the world. Some may say I stink and that I should keep my day job. I am not writing this blog to be a writer but to record my exploration of these fetishes. Every story is as accurate as my memory allows except the names of the people I encounter and most of the pictures. The pictures in this blog are, for the majority, not me. I pulled most of them from various sites on the internet. I will give credit to the individual photo owners when I know where they came from. If you see a pic that is yours and you want to take it down just let me know.
